Shrines
A shrine can be a blessing or a curse, you should be careful around them because some can remove stats permanently from your class, and yes others can give you stats + permanent. Some shrines have a workaround to get what you want without losing valuable items or stats.

Abandoned
Quote: “The hands of men may be guided by fate.”
Effect: Add+2 Dexterity (Permanent)
Creepy
Quote: “Strength is bolstred by heavenly faith”
Effect: Add+2 Strength (Permanent)
Cryptic
Quote: “Arcane Power brings destruction”
Effect: Fills your mana to full, and casts a nova spell from player.
Divine
Quote: “Drink and be refreshed”
Effect: 2 full Rejuvenation potions or 1 Full Mana potion and 1 Full Healing potion. Also fills mana and health to full.
Eerie
Quote: “Knowledge and Wisdom at the cost of self.”
Effect: Adds 2 points to your Magic but also permanently reduces your mana total.
Eldritch
Quote: “Crimson and Azure become as the sun”
Effect: Health and Mana potions become Rejuvenation Potions and Full Potions become Full Rejuvenation potions.
Enchanted
Quote: “Magic is not always what it seems to be.”
Effect: One random spell loses 1 Spell Level and the rest gains 1 Level.
Fascinating
Quote: “Intensity comes at the cost of Wisdom”
Effect: Increases Firebolt with 2 Spell Levels, but you lose 10% of your max mana (Permanent).
Glimmering
Quote: “Mysteries are revealed in the light of reason”
Effect: All items are Identified, in your inventory.
Gloomy
Quote: “Those who defend seldom attack”
Effect: Add +2 Armor Class to all shields, helmets and armor but at the cost of -1 to all weapon’s max damage.
Tip: Have a random crappy weapon equipped, drop your current weapon on the ground, and use the shrine.
Hidden
Quote: “New Strength is forged through destruction”
Effect: Adds 10 points to the max and current durability of all items but also -10 points to a random item.
Imposing
Quote: “A surge of blood interrupts your thoughts”
Effect: Add +2 Dexterity
Magical
Quote: “While the spirits is vigilant the body thrives”
Effect: Casts mana shield on the player.
Mysterious
Quote: “Some are weakened as one grows strong”
Effect: Adds 5 points to one random attribute (Strength, Magic, Dexterity, Vitality) but takes 1 point from the others.
Mystic
Quote: “Your skills increase, but at a price.”
Effect: All gold piles but one are converted to Hit Points
Ornate
Quote: “Salvation comes at the cost of Wisdom”
Effect: Holy Bolt Spell level +2 but you lose 10% max mana. (Permanent?)
Quiet
Quote: “The essence of life fows from within”
Effect: Adds +2 to Vitality
Religious
Quote: “Time cannot deminish the power of steel”
Effect: Repairs all weapons.
Sacred
Quote: “Energy comes at the cost of Wisdom”
Effect: Charged Bolt Spell level +2 but you lose 10% max mana (permanent?)
Secluded
Quote: “The way is cleared when viewed from above”
Effect: Completes automap for the current dungeon level.
Spirtual
Quote: “Riches abound when least expected”
Effect: Fills all empty inventory slots with small amounts of gold (5-30 gold per stack)
Spooky
Quote You: “When avarice falls: patient gains reward”
Quote Others: “Blessed by a benevolent companion”
Effect: Full Rejuvenation potions for other players

Stone
Quote: “The powers of Mana refocused renews”
Effect: Recharges all Staves
Supernatural
Quote: “You hear a strange cry from the distance.”
Effect: The level above the current level is restocked with creatures and items.
Tainted
Quote You: “Those who are least may yet be first”
Quote Others: “Generosity brings its own rewards”
Effect: +1 to a random stats of the player touching the shrine but -1 to all stats of all other players in the game.

Thaumaturgic
Quote: “What once was opened now is closed”
Effect: All chests on the current level is closed and stocked with new items.
Weird
Quote: “The sword of justice is swift and sharp”
Effect: Adds +1 to all weapons max damage (temporary)
Fountain of Tears
Quote: “No Quote”
Effect: -1 to a random attribute, +1 to another
Goat Shrine
Quote: “No Quote”
Effect: Random effect
Tip: Stay away from these shrines, you never know what you will get and can end up losing stats you need.
Cauldron

Effect: Random effect

Murky Pool

Effect: Gain infravision (temporary)
Tip: Very effective on the harder levels.
Purifying Spring
